Register for Augsburg Summer GRE Prep Course

Augsburg Summer GRE Prep Course

Augsburg College offers a four and a half week general GRE prep course each summer for Augsburg students, alumni, and staff at a cost well below those found at private test centers (due to limited capacity, this course is not available for those outside of the Augsburg network). Throughout the course students will have a chance to take two full-length practice tests, complete practice problems for each area of the test, and receive in-depth feedback and instruction.

Course Dates: May 17 to June 19
Course Time: Monday and Wednesdays from 5-7:30 p.m.
Course Cost: $100 (The registration fee includes instruction, a six-month subscription to the online GRE study tool, Magoosh, as well as the official ETS GRE test prep book

Vocation of a Lutheran College Conference: Vocation for Life

Augsburg Faculty and Staff:

You are invited to attend the twenty-third annual Vocation of a Lutheran College Conference at Augsburg College from Monday, July 17 to Wednesday, July 19. Each year, five faculty members from each of the ELCA Colleges come together to explore the distinct roles that they play in higher education. This year, our theme is “Vocation for Life.”

The conference will begin with an opening session at 5 pm followed by a dinner at 7:00 pm on July 17 and conclude by 1:00 pm on July 19.

Keeping Track of Auggies

MAE Student Receives U.S. Department of State Critical Language Scholarship

Matthew Byrnes, a graduate student in Education currently completing the requirements for his MAE degree, was awarded the U.S. Department of State Critical Language Scholarship. Mr. Byrnes will be studying Chinese in Tainan, Taiwan.

The Critical Language Scholarship (CLS) program is part of a U.S. government effort to expand the number of Americans studying and mastering critical foreign languages. Mr. Byrnes is one of approximately 550 competitively selected American students at U.S. colleges and universities who received a CLS award in 2017.
