Call for Papers: Association of Lutheran College Faculties

California Lutheran University and the Association of Lutheran College Faculties invite proposals for the 2017 meeting of ALCF on Cal Lutheran’s campus in Thousand Oaks, CA, September 29-30. Recognizing the 500th Anniversary of Martin Luther, the theme is “Re-Forming Communities: Toward the Next 500 Years.” Submissions are now open, with a deadline of June 15th. Summer Metro Transit College Pass on Sale – Bookstore

Augsburg College Bookstore will sell summer Metro Transit College Passes for $75 (reduced from $90). College Passes are valid for unlimited rides from June 1- Aug. 14 on all regional buses and trains. (For fares above $3.00, e.g., select Northstar fares, stored value is required to cover the additional fare.)

Summer college passes will be available for sale as soon as the Bookstore receive them – ideally May 18.

Students who have a College Pass from spring semester can use that pass through May 31.

Vocation of a Lutheran College Conference: Vocation for Life

Augsburg Faculty and Staff:

You are invited to attend the twenty-third annual Vocation of a Lutheran College Conference at Augsburg College from Monday, July 17 to Wednesday, July 19. Each year, five faculty members from each of the ELCA Colleges come together to explore the distinct roles that they play in higher education. This year, our theme is “Vocation for Life.”

The conference will begin with an opening session at 5 pm followed by a dinner at 7:00 pm on July 17 and conclude by 1:00 pm on July 19.

Take Part in an Interview About Millennial Dating and Romance, Get Paid $10

If you are a millennial over 18 years old (born anytime from the years 1980-1998), or if you know one who is well aware of the crazy world of modern dating and romance, please consider taking part in an Augsburg College research project on millennial romance. My team and I are interested in hearing your take on and experiences with romance and dating as a millennial, and invite you to sit down for a one-on-one interview that will take roughly an hour to an hour and a half. You will be paid $10 for your time, and you will help build valuable knowledge about the world of millennial romance.
