Name Change Information & Help Session Today

If you have questions about items that need updating as part of the name change process, would like to discuss timelines or plans related to items in your department, or need help identifying how or what needs to be changed, please feel free to stop by our information & help session TODAY at 1pm in the Oren Gateway Center 100. Members of the planning team will be on hand to answer questions, provide direction or work with you to identify a plan for transitioning items.

Light Rail Service – Downtown Minneapolis

Downtown Minneapolis Light Rail service will be stopped for maintenance beginning June 22 through July 3. Metro Transit will distribute informational flyers to customers during evening rush hour at all downtown platforms during the week of June 12 to ensure that riders are informed.

Farewell Reception for Jie He

All are invited to attend a farewell reception for Jie He on Monday, June 26, from 11-1:00 in Oyate Commons (Christensen Center – Suite 2). Jie is leaving her position as ISSS Asst Director to become the Employment for Senior Faculty Development Specialist at Capella University. Please join us as we wish Jie well in her new position, and thank her for her years of service at Augsburg!

Vocation of a Lutheran College Conference: Vocation for Life

Augsburg Faculty and Staff:

You are invited to attend the twenty-third annual Vocation of a Lutheran College Conference at Augsburg College from Monday, July 17 to Wednesday, July 19. Each year, five faculty members from each of the ELCA Colleges come together to explore the distinct roles that they play in higher education. This year, our theme is “Vocation for Life.”

The conference will begin with an opening session at 5 pm followed by a dinner at 7:00 pm on July 17 and conclude by 1:00 pm on July 19.

Cello for Sale

My name is April Johnson and I am a rising senior here at Augsburg.
I am selling an Amati’s Fine Instruments, full size, artisan model cello.
It is held in a red, light weight, molded case that can be locked. The case has wheels, backpack straps, and zips close.
The cello also comes with 2 bows, lightly used rosin, and a rubber rock stop.

The cello has four years of use and is in excellent condition.

$10 Target Gift Card for Research Participants (Functional Movement)

Hello Students,

My name is Tiffany Widseth and I am an Exercise Science student and a McNair researcher this summer at Augsburg. I am investigating a modified version of the Functional Movement Screen (FMS) test in Division III female college soccer players and need healthy female Augsburg College students (ages 18-24) to participate in this study as part of the control group. You may not be currently a part of an Augsburg athletic team.
This study involves a one-hour visit to Kennedy Center Physiology lab (room 309) for Functional Movement Screen testing and a video of a drop jump. Participants will receive a $10 gift card to Target.

$5 for Research Participants! (Eye Motion)

We are seeking research participants in a study investigating how our eyes move when locating hidden objects. Participants will have their eye movements monitored while they complete a series of computerized visual search tasks. Eligible participants will be given $5 for their participation in this brief experiment.

All adults over 18 years of age with normal or corrected-to-normal vision are eligible to participate. The task takes less than 30 minutes to complete, and there are no anticipated risks to participation.
