The Minnesota Department of Human Services (DHS) has paid internship opportunities for college students to explore a rewarding career in public service. Our agency helps provide essential services to Minnesota’s most vulnerable residents. Working with many groups and people to ensure that Minnesota seniors, people with disabilities, children and others meet their basic needs and have the opportunity to reach their full potential. Students in public policy, statistics, social work, law and other human services-related programs are encouraged to apply for DHS Executive Pathways Internships.

Alternatives for People with Autism

Alternatives for People with Autism, Inc. is seeking part-time Living Skills Instructors (LSI). Alternatives for People with Autism (APA) is a Minnesota nonprofit organization which provides residential services for adults who are severely disabled by autism and developmental disabilities. The Living Skills Instructor works to enhance the quality of life of each resident, increase the resident’s independence and teach daily living skills to each resident, usually working 1 on 1 with the residents. Living Skills Instructors are eligible to receive up to $1000 in scholarship each academic year from APA. You may find more information online at http://www.afpwa.org.
