Dr. Amanda Case, Assistant Professor of Chemistry, recently had her work published in the scientific journal Nature Chemistry. Follow the link below to read her article “Solution-phase reaction dynamics: Gaining control”. Dr. Case argues that using infrared light to control the outcome of a chemical reaction is problematic in solution because of numerous interactions and non-specific sample heating.
