The Augsburg Human Resources team and our benefits broker, NFP, have worked diligently over the past several months to finalize benefit plan offerings for 2019. Information about the 2019 benefit plans will be available at the information meetings shown below. We strongly encourage you to attend one of these sessions to learn more.
Important: Benefit Open Enrollment begins November 5 at 6:00 am and ends November 16 at 4:30 pm
To provide additional information and context related to Augsburg’s health insurance renewal, Human Resources has prepared a Health Insurance Renewal FAQ.
-There will be two additional coverage tiers for the dental plan – employee plus child(ren) and employee plus spouse/partner.
-There is an increase—from 1 times to 1.5 times base annual salary—in group term life insurance, with a new carrier – UNUM.
-With the change in life insurance carriers, we have a one-time open enrollment for Voluntary Life and AD&D for benefits eligible employees and their dependents with no Evidence of Insurability required for coverage up to the -Guarantee Issue amount.
-All Benefits Eligible Faculty and Staff Must Complete the Online Form(s):
All benefits eligible faculty and staff are required to complete the online enrollment form for 2019 elections even if you elect to waive coverage for 2019.
Your 2018 elections WILL NOT carry over to 2019 (Medical, Dental, Vision, FSA, Dependent Care, and HSA).
