ASYLUM IS A HUMAN RIGHT! NO TROOPS AT THE BORDER! REFUGEES ARE WELCOME HERE!

Tuesday, January 8, 2019, 7:30 AM
Place: Whipple Federal Building, 1 Federal Drive, Fort Snelling, MN
Parking available in Metro Transit lots North and South of Light Rail Station

Special Guests: Minnesota Caravan Solidarity/ Minnesota en Solidaridad con la Caravana. Anne Winkler Morey, writer, activist, Community Faculty at Metro State University. Thom Haines, Mayflower Church Global Justice Advocacy Team, attorney, foundation director, G-Project

-Asylum is a worldwide human right – safe refuge for all!
-We denounce human rights violations at the border
-Cherish children and their families, don’t detain them in life-threatening conditions
-We denounce the exploitation and violence in their home countries that make these families flee for their lives
-We repent of our country’s complicity in these conditions that lead to the exodus and the Caravan
-We claim all spaces as sacred

At 8:30 am after the vigil, we will invite up to 10 people to gather and prepare to attend the court session from 9:00 to 10:30 AM
