Scholastic Connections Scholarship

Scholastic Connections is a scholarship program for high-achieving undergraduate students of color at Augsburg University. It is designed to assist students succeed in completing their undergraduate degree and prepare them to be engaged, successful citizens of the world on graduation by facilitating career development and planning.

There are three pillars that support the Scholastic Connections goal: self-development, community development, and post-undergraduate development.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
First-Time Applicants Eligibility Criteria:
-Must have completed at least one full semester at Augsburg by January 10th, 2020
-Must have at least 1 full academic year of their education remaining
-Be enrolled as a full-time student in the Augsburg Day program for the academic year 2020-2021
-Meet a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5
-Meet the University’s standard of conduct
-Must demonstrate financial need, defined by Student Financial Services.
-Complete application

Previous Recipients Renewal Criteria:
-Meet satisfactory academic progress as defined by the university which includes maintaining a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.0
-Meet the University’s standard of conduct
-Have an updated academic/graduation plan
-Complete application

If selected, you are required to:
-Attend the group meetings (6-8 per academic year)
-Attend 1:1s with the Scholastic Connections coordinator (at least once per semester)
-Attend the MSS Scholarship Dinner (tentatively on Tuesday, November 10, 2020)
-Attend the end-of-year gathering at the Augsburg House

DACA and undocumented students are eligible and highly encouraged to apply.
Promise, Presidential and ActSix Scholarship recipients and International Students (F-1 and J-1) are not eligible for this award.
