Sharing the sad news that Terry (Teresa) Cook, a former Augsburg employee and graduate of the MAL program, passed away on June 10, 2023. Our deepest sympathy to her family, friends, work colleagues and MAL cohort. Her full obituary is linked below.

URGO summer research student seeking participants for exercise study investigating
the effect of environmental temperature on fat and carbohydrate utilization in the body.
Research completed by Madison Horn, under the supervision of Dr. Tara Mader.
Participation will consist of 2 in-person meetings, the first of which is approximately
60-75 minutes in length, the second of which is approximately 30-45 minutes. At the first
meeting, you will undergo a YMCA step-test to measure cardiovascular endurance as
well as a BodPod measurement of body fat. Additionally, at each meeting you will be
asked to participate in a 20-minute HIIT exercise session and undergo three finger pricks
for blood samples. You will be compensated $25, in the form of a Target gift card, for
your time.
