Congratulations to CGEE-Mexico instructor, Fatima Mendoza, for being invited to participate in the National Association of Universities and Higher Education Institutions of Mexico (ANUIES) Civic Kitchen; a space of collective development of social abilities to prototype action-leading proposals around gender violence in Mexican universities, that will take place in the Autonomous University of Ciudad Juarez, Chihuahua from November 21 to Nov., 25.
This 5-day workshop called Civic Kitchen, puts together a heterogeneous group of people from different social sectors such as educators, scientists, social researchers, politicians, students, civilians, civil association actors, etc., to generate a dialogue based on different participative-action innovative methodologies, to generate a series of documented prototypes of projects that will be implemented in the universities that are part of the ANUIES, in search of bringing solutions to the pivotal issues that the Mexican society faces. Fatima is giving a presentation on teaching environmental studies using critical and experiential pedagogies creatively.
