Dear Augsburg Community,
We are delighted to share that the 2023 General Education Revision proposal was approved by the Board of Regents in May and initial steps in general education implementation are underway. This summer the AAC General Education subcommittee (AAC:GE) is working to develop a streamlined process for reviewing how current general education courses may be migrated into the new general education curriculum. Information about general education implementation will be available on the General Education Revision 2023 Community Moodle page.
With gratitude,
The AAC General Education subcommittee
Rachel Bergman (Arts), Jacob Enger (Business/AAC), Melissa Hensley (Health), Matt Maruggi (Humanities and Social Sciences), Ana Ribeiro (Natural Sciences/AAC), Tom Kelsey (Registrar/AAC), Stacy Freiheit (GenEd/AAC)

It’s summer camp season at the Minnesota Urban Debate League, a program of Augsburg University, and we’re looking for volunteers!
Join us in-person at the Foss Lobeck Miles Center on Augsburg University’s campus to help young speakers build their skills and confidence in a friendly, low-stakes setting.
Our Summer Camp judging options include:
MIDDLE SCHOOL POLICY DEBATE:
Our middle schoolers are debating Mars Colonization at camp! We’re looking for volunteers to judge MS policy debaters on Saturday, June 22 from 9 AM – 1 PM (lunch is provided). No previous experience is required!
MIDDLE SCHOOL INTERP:
Our middle school interp (oral interpretation) camp focuses on teaching students how to interpret literature, make an artistic argument, and embody a character. Think dramatic monologues, slam poetry, or humorous skits. Provide feedback for young performers from 12:30 PM – 3:30 PM on Saturday, June 22! No experience needed.
You can sign up for all of these shifts on the MNUDL website: https://mnudl.augsburg.edu/volunteer-opportunities/

The library has two beige metal bookcases that need a new home. They have adjustable shelves. Both have visible signs of wear and age, but a fresh coat of paint would fix that!

These measure 3’w x 1’3″d x 5′ 4.75″h. Two are currently available. They will be available for one week.

Hello, my name is Clark Furlong, and I am doing some original research through Augsburg University about current student’s perception of cannabis as an opiate alternative. If you could take this 7-question survey it would aid in better understanding the current state of public cannabis perception. To participate you need to be an adult (18+) living in the United States. The survey should take approximately 1-5 minutes. You would also enter for a chance to win a 20$ Amazon gift card (you will need to leave your email, but this information will be kept confidential). This class-based project has been designated IRB-Exempt from Augsburg University IRB, #2023-06-04. Click or copy this link to complete the survey: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/G2GHSP7.
