Call for Proposals and Save the Dates: 2024 Back to School Workshops

The Center for Teaching and Learning is pleased to announce that our 2024 Back-to-School Workshops will take place Wednesday, August 21 – Thursday, August 22, 2024, 9 am to 3:30 pm. We invite proposals for professional development sessions from all interested faculty and staff.

Sessions may be 60 minutes or 90 minutes.
All workshops will take place in smart classrooms unless otherwise requested below.
For full consideration, please submit proposals no later than Monday, July 29th, 2024. Presenters will be notified by August 5th.

URGO Summer Research Presentations – July 24 and 25

Please join us for the URGO Summer Research Presentations on July 24th and 25th from 9:00am – 3:00pm in Hagfors 150. Students have been conducting research on campus for the past 11 weeks under the mentorship of a faculty member in their field. The program includes students from a wide range of disciplines and highlights diverse research methods and topics. This event is open to the public, and we encourage staff and faculty to come support these student researchers!

2024 McNair Summer Research Presentations TODAY

One component of the TRIO McNair Scholars Program is a 10-week summer research project. Each year students work with a faculty mentor on a specific topic, culminating in a final paper and presentation. At the end of the month, students will present their research at the 2024 National McNair Conference at UCLA. If you would like the opportunity to see these presentations at Augsburg, please join us on Monday, July 22, from 9:00am to 12:30pm in HC 150. This event is open to all students, faculty and staff. See below for a full list of presenters.

Note: Individual presentations are 10-12 minutes long. There will be time at the end of each group for questions and evaluations. Please try to arrive at the start of each group block to minimize disruptions during the presentations.

Farewell Gathering for Chris Bogen 7/25

After seven years working at Augsburg, Chris Bogen ’09 & MAL ’21 has accepted a new job.

In his time at Augsburg, Chris has worked in the Institutional Advancement office in annual giving through Augsburg’s “Give to the Max” efforts, donor engagement and cultivation in Augsburg’s “Great Returns” campaign, and, most recently, in major gifts fundraising.

Please join the Institutional Advancement team for an open-house style farewell send-off for Chris on Thursday, July 25 between 10 a.m. – noon in Oren Gateway Center’s suite 300.
