Join us for a screening and discussion of independent filmmakers Joua Lee Grande and Quyen Nguyen-Le’s selected works, which trace and highlight the various plights of Southeast Asian refugees in the contested new homeland in the United States. As descendants of Hmong and Vietnamese refugees, their films lead us into the world that refugees reclaimed and cultivated, always in need of defense.
