You are invited to participate in a paid EEG research study examining brain activity and attention.
Participation involves completing a brief online screening survey first. Eligible students may then be invited to complete an in-person lab session and receive a $40 Target gift
card for participating.

Study details:
Open to those 18+ years old, right-handed, and have normal or corrected-to-normal
vision.
In-person EEG session on campus if eligible.
Compensation: $40 Target gift card.

Research Study: Effects of different stretching frequencies on perimenopausal women
Researcher: Ofelia Lor, Undergraduate Exercise Science Student, Augsburg University
Mentor: Dr. Tara Mader
Purpose of study: The goal of this study examines how different stretching frequencies influence flexibility,
movement, and overall well being in perimenopausal women.
Who can participate?
● Women ages 40-60
● Experiencing or approaching perimenopause
What is expected:
● Participate in a strap-assisted proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation stretching program or serve as a
control subject who does not participate in stretching for 4 weeks
● Be assigned to one of the three groups
– Daily stretch group: Stretch 5 days/week
– Weekly stretch group: Stretch 2 days/week
– Control group: No assigned stretching
● Complete several short surveys (stress, well-being, menopausal symptoms)
● Complete movement and flexibility measurements
Risks: Minimal; may include mild soreness or discomfort from stretching
Confidentiality: All information will be kept confidential and used for research purposes
Voluntary Participation: Participation is voluntary and subjects are free to stop participating at any time without
penalty. Please do not feel obligated to participate because you know the investigator or advisor. Participation is
entirely voluntary, and choosing not to participate, declining to respond, or withdrawing later will not affect your
employment, academic standing, evaluation, access to services, or your current or future relationship with Augsburg
University, the investigator, or the advisor.

Hello, my name is ShaShee Yang, and I am a Clinical Psychology Doctoral Student at Augsburg University. I am conducting a research study about the internalization of Model Minority Myth stereotypes and their impacts on depressive and anxiety symptoms in Asian-American college students. I would love for you to be a part of the study! The study will consist of a brief demographic survey and three standardized questionnaires asking questions about internalization of the Model Minority Myth, current depressive symptoms, and current anxiety symptoms. The entire survey should take approximately 15 to 30 minutes to complete. To thank you for your participation, upon completing the surveys, you will have the option to enter your information in a raffle for one of two $25 Caribou Coffee gift cards.
