How to Add Cost Center Numbers to Your Copy Request Profile

submitted by longj@augsburg.edu

To be able to charge Copy Center Services to your cost center number it needs to be included your drop-down menu. This need to be added/changed manually by the Copy Center Staff. The Fund Number and Project Code fields do not process the billing correctly. It will not work to type the cost center number into the wrong field. If you do not see a cost center number you need to use in the drop-down menu it will need to be added before you print request is completed.

The first step for everyone is to sign into the Copy Request System. You do not need to create an order, but getting to the home page creates your profile in the system. You should use your regular Augsburg user ID and password. You must have a profile created before we can add your cost center numbers.

If you are Augsburg Faculty/Staff please email copyctr@augsburg.edu a list of all cost center numbers and your user ID. We will email you when the cost center number has been added.

If you are a student please have your origination’s advisor or work supervisor email copyctr@augsburg.edu a list of all needed cost center numbers, your full name and your user ID. Student Originations are allowed one student printer per group. Once the cost center numbers have been added we will let your advisor/supervisor know.

Print orders are totaled and reported to Accounting at the end of each month. If there is ever a wrong cost center number selected please let us know right away. They can only be corrected during the same month the print request is completed. After that any changes will cause the order to charge a second time so we cannot edit after the last business day of the month.

Welcome 2026-27 Campus Ministry Pastoral Intern

submitted by coleda@augsburg.edu

Campus Ministry is excited to announce this year’s pastoral intern, Sarah Root. Sarah (she/her) grew up in West Milwaukee, WI and attended the University of Wisconsin Eau Claire, majoring in psychology. She is studying for her Masters in Divinity at Luther Seminary to fulfill the call that she has held throughout her formative years. Sarah grew up going to church and was always very involved. She attended two youth gatherings, once as a student and a second as a servant companion. As a high school student, Sarah served on her synod’s council for two years.

Sarah lives in St. Paul with her husband, Kyle, their nearly 1-year-old son, two cats, a bearded dragon, fish, and a very fat frog. Sarah has spent her four years of academics at Luther Seminary working on homework, making memories, and baking a lot of pizza at Toppers. Her Campus Ministry internship is the final step in this part of her academic journey.

Stop in to Campus Ministry Office 110, in the Foss Center, to welcome Sarah. As someone who is very focused on self-care, Sarah provides a listening ear, mindful activities, calming objects, games, and snacks. Her door and her ears are always open.

Central Services: How to Order Printer Paper for Augsburg Campus Printers

submitted by longj@augsburg.edu

When you load the last ream of paper into the printer it is time to order more printer paper for the machine. This way it is delivered before the printer runs out of paper. At Augsburg the paper is paid for as part of your click charges as you print not when you order paper so please do not order paper from Staples.

To order paper go to the Copy Request System through Central Services or the Copy Center. It is the same system you place your print request through.

-Instead of a print request select the Service option.
-Fill out your information.
-For the Ticket Request select Case of 8.5×11″ Copy Paper from the drop-down menu.
-Fill out the printer serial number from the Marco sticker and the location (building and nearby room number) of the printer that needs paper.
-Once we receive the request we will send one of our student workers to deliver a case of copy paper next to the printer.

Office Moves and Mail/Package Deliveries

submitted by longj@augsburg.edu

If you have changed office spaces please let Central Services know once you are in your new space so we can make sure your mail and packages will continue to reach you.

Mail Room
The campus boxes are mostly assigned to the whole department and delivered to the department office or work hub. If the new office will be near the same location, we will not need to change anything with your campus box. If the whole department is moving we will need to update where the department campus box is delivered. If it is just part of the department or a single person we will talk to see if opening a personal campus box or changing what department box your mail is delivered to will work best. If your department would like to change to the be on the mail run or to picking up their mail from their campus box please email mailship@augsburg.edu and talk with Jeni Long.

Shipping/Receiving
Packages are delivered to the location listed for you in the Inside Augsburg Directory. During the academic year we will try to deliver to people’s personal offices first and will then deliver to the department’s office/work hub unless a different delivery location has been previously set up by the department. During the summer we will deliver to the department office/work hubs. The package system, QTrak, is normally updated once a month. Please email IT to have your information updated, Central Services does not have access to update the Inside Augsburg Directory.

If your department would like to change how the whole department receives mail or packages please email mailship@augsburg.edu and talk with Jeni Long. If you would prefer to pick up your packages instead of having them delivered to your department office, please let us know you would like to be added to the Do Not Deliver list by emailing mailship@augsburg.edu.

The Bernhard M. Christensen Symposium

submitted by myers@augsburg.edu

Ross Murray (BA ’00, MBA ’09) will be our speaker at this year’s Christensen Symposium.

Breaking Through and Building Up: Using Your Story to Inspire Action
Wednesday October 21, 2026
12:00 – 1:00 p.m.
Hoversten Chapel, Augsburg University

We are living at a time when the need for community and truth is more urgent than ever. The barriers we face are political, technological, and cultural. They feel larger than any one person or organization can handle. Yet, in spite of all these barriers, people are organizing around pressing issues and breaking through bubbles of mis- (or dis-) information with authenticity, personal connection, and storytelling. Their motivation for action comes from a variety of sources, but a shared calling is moving people to identify problems and pragmatically work toward solutions, inspiring others to action in the process. Ross will help you understand the influence you already wield and how to inspire and equip people to act for social justice through your media platforms and real-life communities.

Ross Murray (BA ’00, MBA ’09) is the Vice President at the GLAAD Media Institute, where he uses GLAAD’s best practices to provide activist, spokesperson, and media engagement training/education for LGBTQ and allied community members, the media industry, and advocacy organizations to accelerate acceptance.
