Join the Augsburg Women’s Lacrosse Team!

We’re looking for new teammates to join the Augsburg Women’s Lacrosse family! Whether you’ve been playing lacrosse for years or are interested in learning one of the NCAA’s fastest-growing women’s sports we’d love to hear from you. Previous lacrosse experience is always a plus, but it’s not required.

We’re looking for student-athletes who are great teammates, bring a positive attitude, are willing to work hard, compete every day, and are committed to getting better. If you’re ready to challenge yourself, grow as both a player and a person, and be part of a supportive team culture, there’s a place for you here.

Help Augsburg students put their best foot forward in interviews, internships, and professional events! The Strommen Center is collecting gently used business professional clothing to expand our Career Closet.

We’re looking for items in good condition (no holes, stains, or excessive wear). We especially need masc clothing including:

– Collared shirts
– Suits & blazers
– Dress pants & slacks
– Dress shoes
– Other accessories (belts, ties, etc.)

Drop-off location: Strommen Center for Meaningful Work (Christensen Center, Suite 100)
Drop-off hours: Monday–Friday, 10am – 3pm.

The Strommen Center for Meaningful Work (Career Services) is looking for volunteers to help us run our upcoming two Career Fairs and make them run smoothly for students and employers!

Our two fairs are taking place on the following dates and times:

Business, Tech, & Government Career Fair
Date: Wednesday, September 30
Time: 3:00 PM – 5:00 PM CDT
Location: Hagfors Center, Augsburg University

Health, Science, & Social Impact Career Fair
Date: Thursday, October 1
Time: 3:00 PM – 5:00 PM CDT
Location: Hagfors Center, Augsburg University

Shift Options & Available Roles
Each shift will have a 30-minute training session so that you feel comfortable in your role! The time listed below includes the training time.

– Employer Greeters (1:30 PM – 3:30 PM)
– Registration Table (2:30 PM – 4:30 PM)
– Name Tag Station (2:30 PM – 4:30 PM)

We will have light refreshments provided for volunteers and employers!

For Students: Find study partners, coordinate pickup games, and discover campus groups and events in real time. Accounts are strictly verified with college emails to maintain a secure, student-only space.

Do you love maps? In SOC/URB 264: Mapping our Social World, you will learn the industry leading map making software ArcGIS Pro. You’ll learn how to analyze and interpret spatial data and make sense of why things happen in some places and not in others. This fun and interactive class is great for anyone interested in urban studies, sociology, environmental studies, computer science and so many more disciplines! Having a background in a GIS (Geographic information system) will give you incredible analytic skills and set you apart from other candidates on the job market! The campus is now full of students, staff, faculty and fish. Well, phish that is. We had three scam emails target people in the past few days.

One is a “Student Employment Opportunity – Virtual Data Entry Assistant ” which is an employment scam. Another is an “Employee Status Change Form” which is a phishing scam. The last one is a “Gadgets & Accessories Donation” which is a fake for sale items scam.

Trust your gut. If something seems too good to be true it probably is. There will be more scams as sure as there are pronto pups at the State Fair.
