Personal Care Assistance Needed

submitted by barrienb@augsburg.edu

Hi! My name is Bella and I am a first year student here at Augsburg studying graphic design. I am currently trying to find personal care assistants to help me in my day to day life here on campus. This would include getting me ready for the day, helping me get set up for class and assisting me around campus. I am currently looking for people who would want to work every Sunday’s 3:00pm- 10:00pm and some hours during this summer! If you are a pre-med or nursing student, this is a great opportunity to get experience with patient care. Plus, you get to be paid to have fun!

I really enjoy getting coffee, watching Netflix, drawing, and painting. I consider all my assistants as my friends and if you work for me, you are guaranteed a good time! If you are interested, please text me at: 612-345-2855 or email me at barrienb@augsburg.edu. Hope you will join!

Selling White/Black Racer Gaming Chair

submitted by jonesee@augsburg.edu

Taking offers! Will go as low as $50. These chairs are in the $150’s zone.

Near brand new condition, Only flaw is that the chair goes back a little to far. It seems as though there’s a busted metal piece in the back. The whole chair is in tact and I will supply pictures with inquiries! 🙂

Hope you can enjoy this gaming chair more then I did, I know the struggle with how expensive nice chairs like these are. Comes with extra pillows as well for back support! 🙂

Seeking Opinions

submitted by koh@augsburg.edu

Share your suggestions for the next Batalden Convocation speaker for Spring 2022.
Each year (with the exception of last March 2020 due to the pandemic), the Batalden Program in Applied Ethics hosts a “Batalden convocation.” Historically, this has been a one-hour talk held in the chapel. Since the academic year 2018-2019, a “Batalden Visiting Scholar” approach has been taken; this allows the “Batalden Visiting Scholar” to both visit classes and with students on the same day as the convocation and, in some cases, the following day. Previous Batalden Visiting Scholars have included Professor Jin Park (Buddhist scholar), Professor Frederic Reamer (ethicist), and Professor Kwame Anthony Appiah (ethicist).

For the current Batalden Scholar in Applied Ethics (Bibiana Koh) the overarching objective of the program is to promote broad conversations in interfaith, intersectional, or interdisciplinary applied ethics that promote social justice and social change across the Augsburg University campus and the community at large. The program defines applied ethics as work that focuses on, considers, and/or addresses public and/or private moral issues. The Batalden Ethics program is generously supported by Paul ’63 and LaVonne (Olson) Batalden ’63, and Stephen ’67 and Sandra Batalden.

In hope and anticipation of a pandemic-free year, planning for the Spring 2022 convocation begins now. To have a voice in the selection of the next Batalden Convocation speaker, please share your ideas using the link below. This brief 5-minute questionnaire (using Google Forms) will be open until the end of February. Those completing the survey may also enter a lottery to win a gift e-card.

Personal Care Assistant Needed

submitted by barrienb@augsburg.edu

Hi! My name is Bella and I am a first year student here at Augsburg studying graphic design. I am currently trying to find personal care assistants to help me in my day to day life here on campus. This would include getting me ready for the day, helping me get set up for class and assisting me around campus. I am currently looking for people who could work on Tuesday 9:00am to 3:00pm!

Looking for Musicians Who Want to Collaborate and Jam

submitted by jensen11@augsburg.edu

Hey,
I’m Jack Jensen and I’ve been playing guitar for about 7 years and I’m looking for people to jam with! Any skill level is fine, any instrument is fine (including singers), and any genre is welcome (my primary genres are rock, indie, alternative R&B, and alternative rock but it’d be cool to branch out too)! I’d love to learn from you and you learn from me but most importantly I want to have fun playing music with people in a low-pressure environment. If you’re interested PLEASE email me at @jensen11@augsburg.edu or message me on Instagram @jackrjensen
