Interfaith Chapel: Rabbi Justin Held

Rabbi Justin Held, Director of Jewish Education at Minnesota Hillel, will speak in Hoversten chapel today at 10:40 am. He will be introduced by Fardosa Hassan, Muslim Student Program Associate and Assistant Director of Interfaith at Augsburg, and Holly Farber, co-director of the Jewish Community Relations Council’s Speakers Bureau, will speak in chapel.

Rabbi Justin “JP” Held grew up in Plymouth, Minnesota. He attended the University of Kansas where he studied religion and Judaism. Following graduation, Rabbi Justin served as the engagement associate at MN Hillel from 2014-2015. Justin then embarked on his rabbinic journey at Hebrew College in Newton, Massachusetts. While in rabbinical school, Rabbi Justin worked as the Rabbinic Intern at Boston University Hillel, as well as taught at Reform and Reconstructionist Hebrew schools. Rabbi Justin was ordained by the Hebrew College Rabbinical School in May of 2021, where he also received a master’s degree in Jewish Education. Rabbi Justin is entering his second year as the Director of Jewish Education at MN Hillel and Herzl Camp.
