Do You Have a Plan to Vote?

submitted by farrisr@augsburg.edu

Election Day is Tuesday, November 4. Have you made a plan to vote? Here in Minneapolis, voters will choose the mayor, city council members, and parks board representatives.

There are no classes at Augsburg on Election Day. It’s a holiday for faculty and staff in order to make it easier for our community to vote, volunteer, and take part in the democratic process.

Students: If you live on campus, your polling place is in the Marshall Room, Christensen Center. If you did not already register to vote, your student ID will work as proof of residence if you are voting on campus OR in the city of Minneapolis, because Augsburg provided a list of students who live on campus or in Minneapolis to the county elections office.

If you have questions about voting or need help, you can call or text the Minnesota Secretary of State call center from 8 a.m.–4 p.m.
