In compliance with the “Timely Warning” provision of the federal Jeanne Clery Campus Security Act, Augsburg University Department of Public Safety is giving notice of a situation that represents a serious or continuing threat to students and employees of the University. This timely warning aims to provide information to aid the Augsburg community in protecting themselves after a report of a serious crime.
>>Reported Offense: Motor Vehicle Thefts:
On October 30th at approximately 10:40 PM, Public Safety was contacted regarding a motor vehicle theft from Lot L. The owner parked their vehicle in the lot on October 30th at approximately 7:30 PM and entered into the Ice Rink. When the owner returned at approximately 10:40 PM, their vehicle was missing.
Public Safety was contacted again on October 31st regarding a second motor vehicle theft. The owner reported parking their vehicle on the street in front of the Kennedy Center on October 30th at approximately 5 PM. When they returned on October 31st at approximately 11:30 AM their vehicle was missing.

DPS and the Minneapolis Police Department (MPD) are currently investigating this incident. Anyone who may have information regarding this incident is urged to contact MPD or Augsburg DPS at 612-330-1717.
