Faculty and staff are invited to this next installment in the “Speaking of Sabbaticals” series. Sociology professor Lars Christiansen will present findings from his resent sabbatical research (and beyond), focusing on the relationship between theories of embodiment and urban design and planning. His talk will include comparisons of several U.S. cities and focus on transportation policy and practices. The title of the presentation is “Bodies in Motion: What the Embodiment Revolution Means for How We Get Around.”
