Professor to Debate at Great American Think-Off

submitted by chamberk@augsburg.edu

Congratulations to Communication Studies professor David Lapakko, who will once again be honored this weekend at the Great American Think-Off in New York Mills, MN. As the Think-Off champion in 2015, Lapakko has been ineligible to compete in the audience Think-Off debates for two full years. But both this year and last, he has been chosen to receive an Honorable Mention award, putting his essay in the top 15 out of the hundreds submitted from around the nation. This year’s question was, “Has the 2016 election changed our perception of truth?” (Lapakko argued on the affirmative.) The four finalists in Saturday’s audience debate hail from Seattle, WA; Olympia, WA; Prior Lake, MN; and Queens, NY.
