Our college community engagement workshop is about teaching college students about how to be more involved in their neighborhood community and what does being on a neighborhood board means for the community. Our main goal for this workshop is to have an increase of leaders who are college students get to know or how to be involved in their community in Minneapolis. To diversify the Neighborhood boards, because we also noticed there’s barely any young generations involved in the board as well. The workshop will be on Next Tuesday, October 10th. It will be located in Christensen Center, in the Marshall Room from 6-8 PM. Everyone is welcome to come to attend. Students must sign up through the Google Form; there will be food provided from Afro Deli. Any more questions, feel free to contact Kalyn McConnell (kalyn.mcconnell1@minneapolismn.gov) or Guillermo Perez (guillermo.perez@minneapolismn.gov ) through email.
