The Theater Department is gathering donations for La Coalición de Boricuas en Minnesota (Coalition of Puerto Ricans in MN) to contribute to the Puerto Rico hurricane relief effort. Please consider a donation today.
Almost a month has passed since Hurricane Maria hit Puerto Rico, but, because of slow and inadequate response, residents still have limited or no access to basic necessities, including food, medicine, and drinkable water.
You can bring your donations to the Campus Ministry Office in the Foss Building between 9:00a and 5:00p, Monday through Friday. We will take care of bringing everything to one of the drop-off sites.
La Coalición de Boricuas en Minnesota is asking for the following:
First aid kits
Hygiene products/toiletries
Tampons and sanitary pads
Child and adult diapers
Pet (dog/cat) food
Baby formula and Pedialyte
Non-expired canned food
Mosquito repellent
Mosquito nets
Batteries (especially size D)
Small solar chargers and inverters
Rubbing alcohol, Iodine, Peroxide
Ensure and Glucerma
Powdered Milk
Emergen-C packets
Disinfecting wipes
Fungal cream
Antibiotic cream
Portable water filters (e.g., LifeStraw)
Water purification tablets
Monetary donations to Coalición de Boricuas en Minnesota are also welcome and will be distributed by ImpactLives™, a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization. Funds will be used to respond to the immediate and urgent basic necessities of those affected by this natural disaster:
