Critical Thinking Workshop on Thursday

submitted by

We all say we teach critical thinking, but when was the last time we thought deeply about how to do it effectively? Critical thinking is an institutional student learning outcome. This year, it’s being assessed once again. In year’s past, our students have not performed as well as we would like. In this workshop faculty will be introduced to Bloom and Costa‚Äôs models of critical thinking. Faculty are asked to bring an assignment, quiz, exam, or activity that they are currently using and then we will work on integrating the prompts and levels of critical thinking into these assignments or exams. Mary Lowe of the Religion Department will be leading the workshop.
