Augsburg community members can help college students here and statewide by urging Governor Tim Walz to save the Minnesota State Grant program. There’s a large ($210 million) shortfall in funding for next fall that will lead to grants being cut or eliminated if the state doesn’t act in the coming legislative session.
This funding shortfall directly impacts our community. More than 1,400 Augsburg undergraduate students benefit from the State Grant, receiving an average award of $6,000.
With budgeting decisions getting made now, please reach out as soon as possible—by early January at the latest.
