Auggies Nominated by the Upper Midwest Emmy Chapter – Student Production Awards

Nominations for the Crystal Pillar Awards are out and two Augsburg students films are nominated! Max Jacobson, Danielle Russell, and Braden Williams received the merit based nominations. Winners will be presented at the NATAS Annual Gala in April.

“So Far and Yet So Near” by Danielle Russell has been nominated for the Solo Storyteller award. The film is a short documentary about the experiences of international students studying abroad in the US, focusing particularly on the feelings of culture shock.

“Nodrophobia” directed by Braden Williams and staring Max Jacobson has been nominated for Long Form – Fiction. The film is a horror based on the fear of irrevocable actions and irreversible processes. Williams’ film can be seen on YouTube. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xBvHGg6aurE

The National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences Upper Midwest Chapter host the Student Production Awards annually. The awards recognize the work of high school and college students in a five state region.
