As announced in April, Augsburg is partnering with two new companies to run its campus store.
1) eCampus is Augsburg’s new course materials partner. All course materials will now be purchased or rented via an online bookstore. See the link below for details about faculty access to the adoption portal and student access to the Augsburg Online Bookstore.
2) University Gear Shop will run the on-campus store, offering branded merchandise and supplies. Beginning with Summer Time 2, the Augsburg Campus Store will also include a service center for students to pick up and return course materials purchased or rented from the Augsburg Online Bookstore. Course materials will no longer be sold in the on-campus store.

Staff Senate nominations are now open! Please nominate yourself or a colleague who you think would be a great fit! The deadline to nominate is Friday, May 30. After which a ballot will be sent out in early June.
Everyone who is nominated is asked if they would like to accept their nomination, so even if you’re unsure whether or not the person would be interested, nominating them doesn’t commit them to anything! We’ve added some info below to give you an idea about what the Staff Senate does and some of the events we did this year. If you have any questions feel free to reach by emailing Staff Senate at staffsenate@augsburg.edu.
The Augsburg University Staff Senate is a body of elected staff members who advocate on behalf of the staff, foster meaningful dialogue, and work to recognize and celebrate the impact of staff members on the University and community.
Staff Senators meet monthly to discuss events, staff/campus concerns. This year we hosted several staff wellness events and the annual staff appreciation.
You can also talk to current members which includes Emilie Lenz, Keri Clifton, Izzy Rankin, Hayley Selinski, and Elijah Owens to get more information.
Nominate a co-worker or yourself!

This summer Augsburg will again host the annual Vocation of Lutheran Higher Education Conference. Each year, members of Lutheran colleges and universities gather to explore the distinctive roles we play in higher education. The theme of the 2025 conference “Ethical Leadership in a Changing World.” The conference aligns with NECU’s mission of preparing students for lives of leadership and service through a theologically rooted understanding of vocation. Ethical leadership—grounded in Lutheran traditions of grace, justice, and community—ensures development of the character and discernment to lead in ways that promote the common good. Join us as we explore how Lutheran higher education can equip the next generation of leaders to navigate ethical challenges with integrity and faith.
Highlights include a keynote address by Dr. Walter Fluker, a renowned scholar and leader in ethics and leadership studies, who will challenge participants to consider how vocation and values-based leadership intersect in today’s complex world. His insights will provide a foundation for discussions on how NECU institutions can cultivate ethical leaders who serve with wisdom, courage, and a deep sense of purpose
The conference begins at 5:00 pm on Monday, July 14 and ends at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, July 16.
The registration fee is waived for Augsburg participants and meals (lunch and dinner) are provided to Augsburg participants free of charge. The deadline for registration is Monday, June 23. If you have questions about registration, please contact Janice Dames (x1732 or dames@augsburg.edu).
