Riverside Ave. Bridge Closure Begins August 4

submitted by farrisr@augsburg.edu

If you use the Riverside Ave. bridge over I-94 in Minneapolis, make sure to include extra travel time to take a detour starting August 4.

Beginning at 7 a.m. Monday, August 4, the Riverside Ave. bridge will be closed to motorists, bicyclists, and pedestrians through Monday, August 18.

You can bypass the closure using the 25th Ave. South bridge.

The closure is necessary to allow crews to safely complete bridge maintenance work along eastbound I-94. Construction began in October 2024 and is anticipated to be complete in November 2025.

Visit the MnDOT project website for more information.
