In compliance with the “Timely Warning” provision of the federal Jeanne Clery Campus Security Act, Augsburg University Department of Public Safety is giving notice of a situation that represents a serious or continuing threat to students and employees of the University. This timely warning aims to provide information to aid the Augsburg community in protecting themselves after a report of a serious crime.
REPORTED OFFENSE: Motor Vehicle Theft
On August 31st at approximately 1:15 PM, DPS received a report of a motor vehicle theft in Lot L. The report was made by an Augsburg student who was the owner of the vehicle. DPS also received two reports, earlier in the day, of vehicles that were broken into on 22nd Ave across from the entrance to lot B.
STATUS: DPS and the Minneapolis Police Department (MPD) are currently investigating these incidents. Anyone who may have information regarding this incident is urged to contact MPD (911) or Augsburg DPS at 612-330-1717.
