Free Tickets to See Richard Louv at the Fitzgerald

submitted by underhil@augsburg.edu

In celebration of The Dodge Nature Center’s 50th Anniversary, the internationally renowned journalist and author, Richard Louv, will be the featured speaker at the Fitzgerald Theater in downtown St. Paul on Thursday, Feb. 9th at 7:30.

Richard coined the term “nature deficit disorder” in his book Last Child in The Woods. This work helped launch an international movement to connect children and families to nature. His most recent book, Vitamin N, was published this past year. It expands on the idea that experiences in nature are foundational to learning, development, and wellness in children and adults. A generous donor has made available 25 tickets (normally $25-100) for students.

Please contact Joe Underhill (underhil@augsburg.edu or 330-1318) by Jan. 25th for details.
