The Music Theatre Club’s spring musical, The Drowsy Chaperone, is a fully student run production with the purpose of bringing new and additional performance or production opportunities to all Augsburg students. If you are interested in auditioning for a role in The Drowsy Chaperone, there is a two-day audition process for which you must sign-up and attend.
***Audition sign-ups are located on the door if the Tjornhom-Nelson Theater on the main floor of Foss.***
Friday, December 15th (Song/Monologue Audition- Day 1)
Sign up for an audition slot between 6pm-9pm.
For the audition, please prepare the following:
1. 60 Second Monologue: Perform a monologue of your choice that is upwards of one minute in length. Memorization is not required but recommended.
2. 32 Bars of a Musical Theatre Song: Perform up to 32 bars (ex. a verse and a chorus) of a song of your choosing. You MAY choose to perform an excerpt of a song from The Drowsy Chaperone. Memorization is not required but recommended. Please bring a copy of sheet music for the accompanist.
Location: M3 (Choir Room in Anderson Music Hall)
Saturday, December 16th (Dance Audition- Day 2)
Sign up to participate in the group/small group dance audition on Saturday, December 16th at 6pm.
Callbacks: Sunday, December 17th will be 12pm-3pm
