I am pleased to announce that John Coskran ’09 MBA has joined Augsburg as our new Senior Director and Chief Financial Officer.
Prior to joining Augsburg, John most recently served as Chief Financial Officer, SVP at YA, a data-driven digital promotions marketing company. He also has served in financial planning and analysis leadership roles at Capella and Best Buy as well as in accounting and audit at Pillsbury and Arthur Anderson. In addition to his Augsburg MBA, John earned a master degree in accounting from DePaul University and a bachelor’s degree in economics and South Asia studies from Carleton College.
The new CFO position reports to the vice president and chief operating officer, and oversees administrative accounting, financial planning and analysis, and student accounts. John will serve on the President’s Net Tuition Revenue Growth team, which includes President Pribbenow, Provost Kaivola, Vice President of Strategic Enrollment Management Robert Gould, Vice President and Chief Strategy Officer Leif Anderson, and me. We also look forward to having John join Leadership Forum and the University Council Resources Committee.
In the coming weeks, we’ll look for opportunities to introduce John to a variety of faculty and staff, as our modified operations permit. When you have the opportunity, please join me in welcoming John to Augsburg!
