TO: AUGSBURG STUDENTS, STAFF, and FACULTY
The Center for Wellness and Counseling staff has made changes regarding delivery of counseling services.
CWC counseling staff will not be offering in-person office appointments for the duration of spring semester. We are offering students 30- minute WELLNESS CONSULTATIONS by phone or by Zoom with a CWC counselor.
To schedule a WELLNESS CONSULTATION with a CWC COUNSELOR, please call
Dianne Detloff at 612-330-1707. For more information and resources on wellbeing and mental health, please access https://www.augsburg.edu/cwc/. Phone counseling from ProtoCall Services is available 24 hours a day by calling 612-330-1707 and pressing #1. Students will directly be connected with a mental health counselor from ProtoCall to discuss any personal or mental health concerns, including a crisis.
All of us at CWC look forward to supporting your wellbeing, the best that we can. We sincerely look forward to hearing from you.
Best wishes and good health to you,
Nancy Guilbeault Ph.D., L.P.
Director, Center for Wellness and Counseling

The CLASS Office (Disability Resources) is open remotely and ready to assist Augsburg students with disabilities to receive accommodations and support. We are also here to work with faculty around student accommodation needs in the new online learning environment.
Email firstname.lastname@example.org with general questions.
If you work with a specific CLASS staff person, you can email them directly or schedule an appointment with them via their online scheduling link.
If you are new to CLASS services, please schedule an appointment online.
Things may be changing, but CLASS’s commitment to ensuring reasonable accommodations within the Augsburg community remains constant. Be well, and be in touch if we can assist.

The application for LEAD Fellows Interns for the academic year 2020-2021 is now open!
The LEAD Fellows program is a great opportunity for students to develop their own leadership and civic agency through gaining meaningful work experience in community-focused organizations. LEAD Fellows have the support of a cohort of peers and Sabo Center staff as they discover what it means to be engaged citizens and critical thinkers. Fellows commit to bi-weekly meetings with the cohort as well as 2 (2 day) retreats annually, and can work up to 20 hours a week at their LEAD placement during the academic year.
Eligible students will be in their 1st or 2nd year with at least 2 years left in undergrad here at Augsburg, and interested in leadership development and social change work. The application will remain open through the week of April 6th.

This project was born out of the desire to build Queer community and connection during this time of social distancing. Queer history has shown us that community is one of the ways we survive during challenging or uncertain times. LGBTQ+ resource centers across the nation have come together to connect our Queer students. We hope the relationships that blossom from this program helps provide a sense of connection, belonging and solidarity to our LGBTQ+ students across state and institutional lines.
You have the option of being paired with someone from the Augsburg community or someone from a partner institution:
Gender and Sexuality Center for Queer and Trans Life
Gender and Sexuality Center at the University of Texas Austin
UNLV Student Diversity & Social Justice
UMD Office of Diversity & Inclusion
Central Michigan University Office of LGBTQ Services & Gender Equity
Shout out to all these institutions for helping make this possible!
