Please join Hmong Women Together for our first event of the Spring semester. We will be discussing two important topics for this event; one will be focused on the traditional gender roles that we see within the Hmong community and in society. The other topic that will be discussed is how we can further understand and help ourselves to better improve our world, reality, and those around us! The plant and the pot are meant to represent you and how you can thrive, grow, and prosper– but only if you remember to prioritize and take care of yourself.
The main purpose of this event is to deconstruct the social norms while still acknowledging and respecting our cultural roots and traditions. In having this event, our intent is to deliver a positive experience for our members to feel welcomed and accepted.
