Take an online course in playwriting with real-world playwrights from around the country! This unique opportunity is available to Augsburg students through our relationship with the prestigious Playwrights’ Center in Minneapolis.
There are a few spots remaining on the fall 2022 semester courses:
**Topics in Playwriting: Expanding Theatrical Possibilities Through Genre Writing (PWC 310)
**Writing for Television (PWC 320)
**Topics in Writing for Screen and Stage: Expanding Theatrical Possibilities Through Genre Writing (PWC 510)
**Topics in Writing for Screen and Stage: Writing for Television (PWC 510)
There is a short application to fill out to be enrolled in the course as seats are limited. Deadline has been extended to August 7, or until seats are full. Courses count as Augsburg courses and can be taken as part of an Auggie’s regular semester load.

Our very own Geoffrey Gill is a very talented videographer, so instead of a written blog post, he created a vlog sharing the story of one of our current learning partners, Shiloh Temple Brooklyn Park. We learn about their experience of accompaniment in Central Park. We hope you enjoy learning about their story and can watch a paradigm shift during their debrief discussion.

2) Free, confidential short-term online counseling is available at Walk In Counseling Center (https://walkin.org/)
3) Sexual assault support is available 24/7 through the Aurora Center at the U of M (612-626-9111) (https://aurora.umn.edu/)
4) Self-help resources are available on the CWC website (coping with depression, coping with anxiety, healing from racial trauma, and more) (https://www.augsburg.edu/cwc/)
5) Student Support Guide (on the CWC and Student Affairs website) has resources to help you connect on and off-campus for academic needs, mental health needs, physical health needs, and basic living needs. (https://docs.google.com/document/d/1NY8mwo-IWkA-Im5VpNbbNfxWFiOygE2oVZzroIFMKPI/edit)

Greetings Faculty and Staff!
A new semester is just around the corner, and luckily we are expecting NEW international students to join us this fall—representing countries like South Korea, Nigeria, China, Egypt, South Africa and Norway to name a few!
And guess what? We are almost back to normal numbers for international students: 18 new incoming degree seekers, 5 transfer students, and about 11 exchange students. AMAZING!
As we collaboratively welcome this group, we plan for different experiences including a dinner potentially hosted by you—our faculty and staff members—in your home.
These events create a space for our new students to connect directly with members of our community, AND the dinner provides a time for you to learn about the incoming international students and their goals at Augsburg. It’s really a win-win situation!
Here are the details:
Date: Wednesday, August 24, 2022
Time: Pick up at 5 p.m. with a return to campus around 7 p.m.
We ask that our hosts pick up students from campus and return them once dinner is completed.
COVID status: ALL the new international students coming from abroad are required to follow the CDC and MDH guidelines (see more information in the form).
