Luke Omodt, a junior majoring in physics and chemistry, has been named a Goldwater Scholar, which is the top STEM award in the country. Goldwater named 438 scholars across the country, seven of whom come from MN colleges and universities. Luke is currently doing computational materials science research with Professor Hickox-Young in physics and will be working with him this summer funded by Dean and Amy Sundquist. In the past Luke conducted research with Professor Dasgupta in physics and at the U of M and Cornell University. Congratulations Luke!
