We are excited to welcome the new Director of the Undergraduate Research and Graduate Opportunity Office (URGO), Dr. Daleana Phillips. Daleana comes to Augsburg from the University of Southern Mississippi where she served most recently as the Director of the McNair Postbaccalaureate Achievement Program and previously as the Assistant Director of the TRIO-SSS Program. Daleana holds a Ph.D. in Communications, has a master’s degree in Sociology, and is in the process of completing an MBA.
In her role as URGO Director, Daleana will oversee the summer and academic year research programs, assist with the organization of Zyzzogeton, work with the Faculty Director of Fellowships to coordinate fellowship opportunities, partner with members of the Strommen Center to support graduate and professional school advising, and collaborate with associated programs such as the McNair Scholars Program, STEM Programs, and TRIO to support student success.
