The North Star chapter of the Sierra Club is looking for submissions for its next journal issue. See the prompt below, and send submissions to starckl@augsburg.edu.
The first step to changing the future is imagining a better one. Write a postcard from a greener future (75 words or fewer– postcards are small!) in which you describe an activity or a place that reflects the climate-friendlier future we all want. Are you writing from a city full of rooftop gardens? From a town that defeated a proposal for an environmentally-devastating data center? From a cruise ship that runs on solar power? From a future free of single-use plastics? Feel free to be very down-to-earth or wildly fantastical.
Submissions are due by April 20th. We’re excited to read your postcards and learn about your hopeful futures!
