Showcase Your Vision at the EYRIE Film Festival!

Calling all Augsburg University filmmakers and screenwriters! It’s time to get your work off your hard drive and onto the big screen. Submissions are now officially open for the annual EYRIE Film Festival, held right here on campus.

Whether you produced a masterpiece for class or spent your weekends filming an independent passion project, we want to see it. This is your chance to celebrate a year of creativity with your peers and compete for top honors.

Submission Deadline: April 20, 2026

Event Date: May 1, 2026

Eligibility: Open exclusively to Augsburg University students.

Categories: Student Film (Animation, Documentary, Experimental, Music Video, Short) and Screenwriting.

Why Submit?
Beyond the glory of a big-screen premiere, a jury of Augsburg film faculty will be awarding prizes in several categories, including Best in Show, Best Director, and Best Screenplay. There is also an Audience Choice award, so bring your friends to vote!

Submission Rules
Projects must be student-led and completed within the last two academic years, while a student.

Films must be under 15 minutes; Screenplays are limited to a 15-page sample.

Maximum of three submissions per person.
