Augsburg’s Minneapolis campus community experienced protesters in the Murphy Park this fall, and on Monday, April 2, a protestor on the public sidewalk on 22nd avenue. Per City of Minneapolis, individuals may protest on pubic sidewalks as long as they do not impede pedestrians; a permit is required if a protestor wants to use amplified sound (microphone, bullhorn). Messages conveyed by the protestor were not supported by the University; Augsburg University supports the right of individuals to protest.
