Dear colleagues,
Please join me in congratulating Crystal Comer, University Registrar, who will be leaving Augsburg later this month for a new position as associate director of partner solutions at Collegis Education, an enrollment growth management and technology company. This is a unique and exciting opportunity for Crystal to use her many skills and experiences in non-profit higher education in the service of a diverse range of colleges and universities, which, like Augsburg, increasingly navigate the changing landscape of higher education with technology-based solutions, strategies, and analytics.
This has not been an easy decision for Crystal, given the people, the mission, and the incredible work we do. She leaves us grateful for the collaboration, collegiality, friendship, and trust that members of this community have extended to her.
Crystal’s last day will be January 19. A reception is being planned for Friday, January 19th from 2:30-4:00 pm in OGC 100. Please join us in celebrating Crystal’s contributions to Augsburg and wishing her the best in her future position.
In her five years at Augsburg, Crystal not only led work to revise and refresh policies, decision-making processes, and organizational structures, she also created new growth opportunities for Registrar’s Office staff while aligning resources with institutional strategic priorities around retention and graduation.
A transition plan will be developed and shared soon. Over the next several weeks, I will consult with members of my leadership team, Registrar’s Office staff, faculty, and others as we chart a path forward and seek new leadership for this important role.
