Support Resources for Community Racial Trauma

submitted by carlson2@augsburg.edu

In light of the tragic police killing of Amir Locke last week, the Center for Wellness and Counseling wants to highlight some resources on our website. We know that our students and community members are deeply affected by the ongoing racial injustices in our city and the violence done to black and brown bodies. We also know that many in our community actively participate in social justice work, and that this important work can both replenish and at times, deplete our energy. In addition to counseling services, the CWC also has some healing resources for you to check out on our website: Healing from Racial Trauma, and Self Care for Activists. We stand with you in righteous rage — may we all use that energy to fuel hope and change.
