New May Workshop For Full-Time Faculty: Anti-Racist Pedagogy

Submitted by reederm@augsburg.edu

The Center for Teaching and Learning, supported Critical Race and Ethnicity Studies (CRES) donor funds, has designed a two-day Anti-Racist Pedagogy workshop for full-time faculty at Augsburg.

This workshop is offered to encourage faculty to further develop their knowledge and skills in evidence-based, anti-racist pedagogy. Because this is a pilot, CTL is limiting the number of participants to 10. Participants will be selected based on their responses to a short application (see link below).

All selected participants will receive a $1000 stipend to (1) participate in the 2-day workshop Tuesday May 17 through Wednesday May 18, 2022 (10:00am to 2:00pm each day; lunch included) and (2) complete a self-determined “final project”. Applicants who are proposing to work on a course scheduled for Fall 2022 and/or who have completed the Augsburg University Diversity and Inclusion Certificate Program will be given priority.

If you have any questions, please contact Drs. Sarah Greenfield (greenfie@augsburg.edu) and Jennifer Bankers-Fulbright (bankers@augsburg.edu). Anti-Racist Pedagogy Application form (due Friday, April 22nd by NOON)
