Earth Week Events today

submitted by carreraa@augsburg.edu

This Friday, April 22nd is the 52nd Earth Day! We are dedicating the entire month of April to celebrate our Home. Join us in attending the many events we have planned throughout the month! Check out the events happening TODAY:

Sisterhood Boutique: Pop-Up Sale & Donation Drive
Augsburg Local presents a pop-up shop and clothing donation drive with our neighbors at Sisterhood Boutique, a nonprofit run by and for entrepreneurial East African young women in Cedar Riverside. Browse their curated racks of affordable, stylish clothing and bring your gently used femme (“women’s”) clothes, too!
Location: Christensen Center Lobby, 11am-2pm

Presentation on Treaties
Beginning on the first official day of Earth Week, the Environmental Stewardship Committee welcomes MN350 Organizer, Nancy Bealieu, and Augsburg’s Environmental Stewardship Coordinator, Alyssa Purkhurst, to remind us that environmental work is inextricably linked to Indigenous Rights and Sovereignty.
Location: Marshall Room, Christensen Center, 12-1pm

AASA Fashion for the Future
Come to the Augsburg Asian Student Association’s last general meeting. They’ll be playing volleyball outside and will have origami and drawing activities. They will be giving away free sustainably-made, fair trade t-shirts!
Location: Marshall Room, Christensen Center, 5-7pm
