This Friday, April 22nd is the 52nd Earth Day! We are dedicating the entire month of April to celebrate our Home. Check out the events happening TODAY, Tuesday April 19th:

12-1pm – BIPOC Career Stories in Minnesota
Minnesota Department of Natural Resources professionals will share their journeys that brought them to working for the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources and will provide tips and reflections that helped them along their professional journey. All are welcome.

1-2pm – Climate Anxiety Workshop
As our changing climate disrupts the rhythms of nature that we’re accustomed to as individuals and communities, anxiety connected to these changes can impact our health and well-being. During this session, the presenters will identify different characteristics of climate anxiety and discuss strategies to navigate our personal well-being in the midst of our changing world.

2-3pm – Grounding and Remembering
This workshop will be an opportunity to explore addressing climate anxiety through connective practices. We will start with a brief introduction at the Center for Wellness & Counseling, and then tour the Augsburg Urban Arboretum together, stopping along the way to experiment with practices for remembering and restoring connections to the larger communities of which we are a part, as well as with our own sense of grounding and vitality.
Location: Meet in the lobby of Center for Wellness and Counseling
*This event does involve walking/rolling around campus.
