This Friday, April 22nd is the 52nd Earth Day! We are dedicating the entire month of April to celebrate our Home. Check out the events happening TODAY, Thursday April 21st:

11am-1pm – Rebecca’s Bakery Showcase & Samples
Augsburg Local presents FREE samples from Rebecca’s Bakery and Cafe, one of our favorite local business partners located conveniently on Franklin Ave. Stop by Christensen Center Lobby on April 21 from 11am-1pm for a beautiful and delicious Italian pastry (or two!) from this East African-owned local business.
Location: The Quad

11:30-11:50am – Earth Day Chapel
Monica McDaniel, Augsburg’s Sustainability Officer, will read Deborah Underwood’s Outside In for this interfaith Earth Day chapel. Monica will share reflection on the book’s reminder that Outside is always there, is waiting for us, and acts in solidarity with us; it is us who need to act in solidarity with Outside. Music will be shared by Environmental Stewardship Coordinators, Grace Koch Muchahary and Mercy Zou Taithul.
Location: Hoversten Chapel, Foss Center

12-1pm – Job Tips and Opportunities for BIPOC Students from Minnesota DNR
Are you interested in working in state government and/or for the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources? Come hear from a representative from the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources as they present job and career tips for applying to the agency. Internships and job opportunities for students will also be discussed. Hope to see you there!
