I write to share the sad news that Patricia “Patty” A. Piepenburg ’69 passed away at age 75 on Feb. 9, 2023.
Patty graduated from Augsburg with a degree in physical education and coached various grade levels in Atwater, Minnesota, while also working double time to help her dad with their family farm.
In 2011, Patty was inducted into Augsburg’s Athletics Hall of Fame and gave a generous gift to help update the Si Melby Women’s Locker room.
A funeral service will be held at 11am on Monday Feb. 20, 2023, at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Litchfield, MN. Visitation will be held from 4-6pm on Sunday Feb. 19, 2023, at Johnson Hagglund Funeral and Cremation and will continue one hour prior to the service at church. Interment will be held in Ripley Cemetery, Litchfield, MN.
