February’s Griot Series will have us creating new good boundaries based on our connections. We will also celebrate the 80th Solar Return of BEVERLY COTTMAN aka Auntie Beverly aka Mrs. Cottman aka my Mom!

Alicia Steele is the Griot for the night
Tearra Oso is the Griot del Rio
BodyPrayers artist Dejajoelle will move the crowd in some way
Our storyteller Brotha Asè is literally where I got the title from: Afrofuturistic History
Yvette Griffea-Gray is the featured artist
Spoon and Theory Handmade will join the Ujamaa moment

Jordan Malcolm Hamilton, Duka Ya Mama, and the Angela Day School are invited back for Ujamaa (Cooperative Economics)
Tha Horny Housewife and Oculesics will be in the building selling their wares
We will have sweets and treats from Lutunji’s Palate
Craft table with some hands on Black History/Afrofuture activities
