Seeking Asian-American College Students to Participate in a Survey About the Model Minority Myth

Hello, my name is ShaShee Yang, and I am a Clinical Psychology Doctoral Student at Augsburg University. I am conducting a research study about the internalization of Model Minority Myth stereotypes and their impacts on depressive and anxiety symptoms in Asian-American college students. I would love for you to be a part of the study! The study will consist of a brief demographic survey and three standardized questionnaires asking questions about internalization of the Model Minority Myth, current depressive symptoms, and current anxiety symptoms. The entire survey should take approximately 15 to 30 minutes to complete. To thank you for your participation, upon completing the surveys, you will have the option to enter your information in a raffle for one of two $25 Caribou Coffee gift cards. Research Survey – Enter to Win Gift Card

Research Study on Climate Change, Mental Health, & Cultural Background and Identity

You are invited to participate in a study that aims to understand your experiences related to climate change, mental health, and cultural identity. The goal of this survey is to establish a data set to explore the various intersections of these topics.

Who can participate? Adults (age 18+) who are enrolled as an undergraduate student.

What do I have to do as part of the study? You’ll take a 30-minute survey online via Qualtrics.

What do I get out of it? Participants will be entered to win a $50 Visa gift card for their time. You will also support the understanding of how these various experiences relate to one another, which may inform future research, clinical practice, and community resources.

THRIVE Book Presentation: From Invisible to Valuable

THRIVE by Augsburg University invites students, faculty, staff, and community members to a special book presentation and conversation with Dr. Yacoub Aljaffery, author of From Invisible to Valuable. Facilitated by Dr. Sergio Madrid-Aranda, this event will explore themes of identity, belonging, scholarship, and community through an engaging discussion with the author. A halal dinner will be provided for attendees.
